IOC Session to vote on Gangwon’s proposal to host Winter Youth Olympic Games 2024
Meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland, ahead of the opening of the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG), the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board (EB) today decided to submit to the IOC Session the proposal by the Korean Sport and Olympic Committee (KSOC) and the Gangwon province to host the next Winter YOG in 2024.

Dates for Dakar 2022 announced as two new sports join Youth Olympic Games programme
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board (EB) today approved the period of 22 October to 9 November 2022 for the 4th edition of the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Dakar 2022. It will be the first Olympic event on the African continent.

IOC Executive Board and IOC Athletes’ Commission discuss major topics at annual joint meeting
The Executive Board (EB) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the IOC Athletes’ Commission (AC) today held their annual joint meeting in Lausanne. The meeting was an opportunity to reflect on a busy and productive year that saw the launch of a number of key programmes and initiatives for athletes and to look ahead to 2020 with the highlight of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
