2024 Bid; Special issue ‘À Paris’ Magazine about Paris2024 (in French)

 

On 13 September, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will meet in Lima to designate the city that will host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024. On this occasion, the magazine “À Paris” will release a special issue to accompany the candidacy of The City and to present to the Parisians the commitments and the legacy of the Games if they take place in Paris.

At the initiative of the City of Paris, with the Comité National Olympique Sportif Français (CNOSF) and Paris 2024, the heart of Paris will be transformed on 23 and 24 June in an Olympic park dedicated to the celebration of sport and Olympism. This event coincides with the worldwide celebration of Olympic Day on June 23. A large part of the center of Paris will be made pedestrian-only use on this occasion.

Friday 23 June and Saturday 24 June from 10:00 to 20:00.

  • Le pont Alexandre III (floating athletics track in the river Seine, diving)

2024 Bid; Meeting of the IOC Executive Board on 9 June

From The International Olympic Committee:

The Executive Board (EB) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will meet on 9 June in Lausanne.

The EB will receive and discuss two reports from the Working Group currently looking into the candidature procedure. The working group consists of the four IOC Vice-Presidents and has been tasked with exploring how to make the candidature procedure more proactive, more collaborative and less expensive in the future.

There will be two reports:

A report on the Olympic Games 2024 and 2028.

A second report on the reform of the candidature procedure that will be applicable to the Olympic Winter Games 2026.
